On 19th December 2008, Dr Kartar Lalvani and his son Tej Lalvani hosted a charity event where celebrities from Strictly Come Dancing 2008 who dined at Indali Lounge in London. The star-studded guest list included the likes of Ola Jordan, Christine Bleakley, Jill Halfpenny, Mark Forster (also the face of Vitabiotics Wellman), Heather Small, Matthew Cutler, Lord & Lady Goldsmith and Lord & Lady McNally amongst others. Indali is the 1st Indian restaurant of its kind which serves delicious Indian cuisine without the use of butter/ghee or cream. The food is neither over-spiced nor over-cooked, retaining the natural inherent flavours of its ingredients without artificial colours or flavours. Its key dishes included the unique and patent pending ‘Butter chicken without butter’ and ‘Dhal Makhan with out Makhan’. The light cuisine meant that the celebrities could enjoy their meal the night before the finals for ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ which took place on Saturday 20th December.
In true celebrity style, the attendees partied the naught away until the early hours of Saturday morning.
